On behalf of the Darwin and Sydney organising Committee, we would like to invite you to come and experience the 2014 Spring Seminar with us in the Top End.

The venue will be the Darwin Convention Centre with its spectacular waterfront location, and short walk to a wide selection of hotels and restaurants.

Our program will provide a mix of core ED topics and some interesting themes unique to our region.

Topics this year include;

  • Trauma skills workshops
  • Aboriginal Health
  • Tropical Medicine
  • Ventilation Workshops
  • Management of aggressive patients
  • Assessment of the dizzy patient
  • Chest pain work-ups
  • And our Q & A style panel on controversial ED topics

The Horizon Lecture will be family focused and is to be held at The Museum and Art Gallery of the NT.  Perched on Bullocky Point, you will be tantalised by the world-renowned Darwin sunset.  Meanwhile you can choose to enjoy the superb collection of Aboriginal Art, a Cyclone Tracy exhibit, and meet Sweetheart, one of the Top End’s most famous Crocodiles.

Darwin is a beautiful and diverse tropical city with the Aboriginal people of the Larrakia group being the traditional custodians.  Prepare to be enticed by tropical vistas, interesting history, and friendly people.  It is also the gateway to a variety of world-class natural and cultural attractions, such as Kakadu National Park, Litchfield National Park, Mary River National Park.  If you feel so inclined, Darwin also has amazing fishing, try your luck at reeling in a 1 meter Barra.

We look forward to you joining us in the TOP END in 2014
